The Queens Diamond Jubilee is taking place this year from Saturday 2^nd – Tuesday 4^th June, celebrating 60 years as Monarch in 2012.

Saturday 2^nd June – The Queen will be attending Epsom Derby.

Sunday 3^rd June – The Big Lunch/ Street Party, where neighbours bring food and gather the street together to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.

Monday 4^th June – BBC concert at Buckingham Palace, which will be televised. While the program is still being put together for the concert it is thought that British and Commonwealth musicians will be playing.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee beacons will also be lit on Monday 4^th, with 2,012 beacons being lit in communities throughout the United Kingdom.

Tuesday 5^th June – Is a day of celebrations that will be held in London.

This will include a service at St. Pauls Cathedral followed by two receptions, a lunch at Westminster, a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace as well as a Balcony appearance and Flypast.

On the 5^th The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and many Members of the Royal Family will be attending the lunch at St. Pauls Cathedral
