British Musical Fireworks Championships 2013
2013 sees a change to the British Musical Fireworks Championships. The magnificent pyro-musical displays are still staged in Southport; however the firing site has been moved from Kings Gardens to the home of the Southport Flower Show, Victoria Park. This is because of redevelopment being undertaken at Kings Gardens. This year‚Äôs competition runs from Friday 4th October to Sunday 6th October. The harmonious marriage between fireworks and music should yet again lighten the skies above Southport and bring joyous entertainment for families, couples and firework fans alike. GlobalFest 2013 Review
On Friday 16th August 2013, the Hunan Jixiu Fireworks Manufacturing & Display Co. Ltd of China opened the Trico Homes International Firework Festival as part of GlobalFest 2013. The theme of their show was ‚ÄúThe End of a Hero‚ÄĚ and was based around the late years of Qi Dynasty (221-206 BC). It told a story of the hero‚Äôs braveness and love. The fireworks showcased interchanged between being loud and powerful to represent the hero‚Äôs braveness and then soft, elegant and beautiful in relation to the hero‚Äôs love. The show included the compulsory piece of music ‚ÄúChanson Theme‚ÄĚ from the stage adaptation of A Clockwork Orange by Danny Luntz. This music was compulsory for all designers from each of the four nations presenting a show at the festival. The Chinese firework display opened up with the compulsory music and then traditional Chinese music was heard. During the display there was a wide array of pyrotechnics on view including some beautiful gold horsetails and a stunning multi-coloured water carpet, which lit up the lake at Elliston Park. Honda Celebration of Light 2013 Review
Thailand Fireworks brought the curtain down with a bang at this year‚Äôs Honda Celebration of Light in Vancouver in front of an approximate 400,000 people, the largest crowd of the competition.
Honda Celebration of Light, the world‚Äôs largest off shore firework display competition, is staged in Vancouver just off English Bay. It‚Äôs evident to see just how big the event is with a large police presence and main streets closed to vehicles so the large crowds can make their way down to find a spot to watch the spectacle take place. Honda Celebration of Light 2013
July 2013 sees the return of one of Vancouver‚Äôs largest and most well known festivals. The Honda Celebration of Light returns with competitors new and old ready to set the skies alight with genius Pyromusical shows. An estimated annual attendance of 1.4 million people will see the UK, Canada and Thailand compete in a truly magical free event to the public supported generously by the City of Vancouver, the province of BC and generous event sponsors.
Attendees are encouraged to bring small speakers along with them to tune into Shore 104.3FM, who will be simulcasting the soundtrack of each competitor on each of the evenings. The public can also listen to the soundtracks online on their Smartphones and iPhones. All shows will start at 10pm and will last approximately 25 minutes.
This year‚Äôs competition sees the return of Pyro 2000, the official Black Cat Fireworks Display Team! Their show is up first on Saturday 27th July and they have all the experience to provide a truly amazing display and will not be fazed by opening the event. Read the rest of this entry »

Winter fireworks strong in Manhattan.
The winter fireworks were set of in Manhattan Beach‚Äôs Holiday firework festival this year, filling South Bays skies.
The festival replaced the annual 4th July fireworks several years ago.
The firework festival was held on 11th December this year, with roughly 15,000 people gathering to witness the event.
Many activities for families were held from 4pm onwards in parks around the area, with sledge runs and snowmen.
The fireworks display started at 7pm with a specially extended finale thanks to Belkin sponsorship.

Chinese New Year Fireworks
Chinese New Year is the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar; every year marked with a different animal and in turn a different zodiac that carries unique symbolism for that year. This Chinese New Year falls on February 3rd and heralds the year of the rabbit.
