Firework donation to Help for Heroes event
Standard Fireworks and Black Cat Fireworks are proud to announce they are supporting a local event and excellent cause – Help for Heroes. Tomorrow there will be a Charity Bonfire & Firework Display at the ‘Rovers Return Inn’ Taylor Hill (formerly The Bluebell). Kirkwood Hospice charity Firework fundraiser
For the second consecutive year Black Cat Fireworks and Standard Fireworks are selling the ‘Golden Bees’ firework for £1 and donating ALL sales to Kirkwood Hospice. Last year we raised £4,500 for the charity and this year we hope to do the same or more!

Black Cat and Standard Fireworks are Proud to Support Kirwood Hospice
Black Cat and Standard Fireworks are proud to announce their continued support and are re-launching their successful 2009 charity fundraiser for 2010. The Huddersfield based Firework supplier aims to exceed the £4,500 raised in 2009 for Kirklees charity, Kirkwood Hospice and will be again donating 100% of all sales of the charity firework “Golden Bees” which will be on sale at the Crosland Hill Factory Shop during the Bonfire Night period. BBC Radio Sheffield Radio Interview
During the Bonfire season, amongst all the other hype of activities, Black Cat and Standard Fireworks are always keen to raise Media awareness and coverage. Today Marketing Manager, Helen Ashton took part in a radio interview around the topic of fireworks.
Helen was interviewed by Toby Foster on BBC Radio Sheffield Breakfast show. Toby joked about his memories of childhood fireworks and Bonfire Night and asked about today’s most popular fireworks. Helen chatted about the new Single Ignition Fireworks, which are becoming very popular, along with the old family favourites such as selection boxes and rockets.
The interview also covered safety tips and firework advice.
