Chinese New Year Fireworks London

Chinese New Year celebrations

Chinese New Year may soon be over after today but London is keeping the celebration going a little bit longer, by holding their Chinese New Year event on 29th January.
Celebrations will be held in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Chinatown.

-          Starting with a parade held in Rupert Street, Chinatown at 10.15 am, lasting approx 1hour 15mins

-          The opening ceremony will be held in Trafalgar Square where Mayor Boris Johnson and President of Chinatown, Stanley Tse will perform the Dotting of the Eye ceremony which will start at 12.00 noon

-          A display showcasing more than 100 performers will be held, including the Chen Brothers

-          Performances start straight after the opening ceremony and will continue till 5.40 pm

-          Finishing off with a spectacular firework display to follow traditional celebrations at 5.40 pm

It should be a fantastic event and one not to be missed.
